In Recent years, the center has organized or hosted a number of academic conferences such as the Chinese Annual Conference of Humanistic Geography, the Annual Conference of the Chinese Academy of Acient Capitals, and the International Conference on the Construction of Featured Cultural Cities. Lectures and seminars have been delivered by over 100 experts and scholars from Harvard University, the University of Pittsburgh, Rikyo University, Peking University, the Institute Geography of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing Normal University, East China Normal University, and Shaanxi Normal University.
